Syntheses of quantum dots, metal colloids and doped metal oxides; Quantum dot sensitized solar cells; Energy transfer in quantum dot : upconversion phosphor systems; Silica coating of nanocrystals

Undertaking industry contact work: nano-crystals synthesis

Laboratory Management: day to day running of the lab including maintaining equipment and stocktaking.

Research Interests

Tailoring the structure of nanomaterials for optical and energy conversion applications.
