Current Project

Charge Injection into 2-D Semiconductor Nanocrystal Arrays

My project focuses on the electron transfer dynamics of semiconductor nanocrystals such as cadmium selenide (CdSe). The research is motivated by the suggestion that NCs could be a better light-absorbing medium in solar energy systems than the organic dyes currently employed. An understanding of these electron processes is also necessary for the incorporation of NCs into LEDs and electroluminescent (EL) devices.
