| The NanoScience Laboratory synthesizes nanoscale materials for research purposes. It also undertakes contract synthesis of small amounts (gram scale) of novel materials for other research laboratories and industry. Typical materials include nanocrystals such as metal particles (rods, spheres prisms, alloys), quantum dots, magnetic nanocrystals, polymer coated particles, but also includes surface functionalisation.
