PhD opportunities

The ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science currently is advertising for PhD applications in the following areas.

1. PhD position: upconvertor spectroscopy

We are looking for a suitably qualified graduate student to work on an ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science funded project on upconversion materials. The goal is to generate new materials, which can harness NIR light and emit in the visible with high quantum yield.

2. PhD position: atomic force microscopy.

We are looking for a suitably qualified graduate student to work on an ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science funded project on nanomechanical sensing. The goal is to use atomic force microscope (AFM) microcantilevers as resonators to detect adsorbed mass, electronic charge or magnetic spins.
